Malory:Le Morte D'Arthur.
This chapter really stuck me on the rash idea and the way they react to things. There was a ton of talk about how they fainted for previous chapters but I think we can turn that theme into a whole "over reacting" thing. Queen Gwynevere reacts hashly to the death and joins a nunnery yet she never really showed that she was so in love with king arthur.

i understand your point of view about the over reacting things but i think we should also look a it from a point of view that perhaps the author intended. If Mallory were writing this to signify dramatic events it could very well become "overused" which could indeed be the case. However there are many other interpretations of the fainting that can be made and i don't think for certain we may narrow it to just one.
